Button pearls are flattened on one face, so they sit flush against a setting instead of rolling, and present more surface area from the top. That profile makes them efficient for stud earrings, bezel settings, and bracelets that need to lie flat on the wrist.

This is the classic commercial size band, the one most single-strand necklaces and stud earrings are built around. Mid-grade stock, which is where most commercial jewellery is built — sound lustre, honest minor surface character.
