Every baroque pearl is structurally unique, with folds and ridges that catch light from angles a smooth sphere cannot. Designers use them where the selling point is that no two pieces are alike — statement pendants, wire-wrapped work, and one-of-a-kind earrings.

At this size the pearls function as seed or accent stock — multi-strand work, pavé-style detailing, and pieces that need hundreds of matched beads. The most economical grade offered, suited to designs where the pearl is one element among many.
